If someone had asked me 6 years ago to sum up my life I would have to have said it was pretty ordinary. It was good, I enjoyed it, but it was the same as many of my friends; kids, school runs, coffee mornings and a bit of part time office work. Then in 2007 I moved to Suffolk, met my husband and bought a Dutch sailing barge all within the space of 12 months. Since then life has been far from mundane!
After 2 years of hard work and stress our Dutch barge is now a successful holiday let on the River Orwell (www.heritage-travel.co.uk) and I have established myself as a landscape and marine photographer working along the coasts of Essex and Suffolk. (www.gillmoon.com) I sell my photography locally but also write and supply images for regional and national magazines. Together with my husband I also run East Coast Marine Services and Events Guide (www.eastcoasteventsguide.co.uk) a one stop resource for all waterborne activity on the East Coast.
When I am not working I escape to Scotland, a place that I find really good for the soul and pretty good for the camera too!
